SEASON SUMMARY: This season was very different from most. We started late because football did so well, then we had many players sick and hurt. As a team, we had 95 missed practices for illness or injuries and missed 54 games total . Our team practiced hard and continued to improve despite some difficult losses. This team really had a lot of fun together. We finally started getting healthy in February and started winning. We won 7 out of our last 8. Hosting Hang'n with the Dawgs II at the last home game was very fun and attended by about 60 kids. Our players also volunteered at Cody and Washington Elementary schools.

Winning districts was definitely the highlight of the year. Our team kept believing that we would play our best at districts and we did. I was very proud of how we played at state against Bellevue West. We played very hard and represented North Platte well. We were preseason rated #8 and feel like we were one of the best 8 teams in class A.
